First off, welcome back to the room for those returning after a long vacation. Welcome to all the members who are new to Case's team spades.

One of the first requests the new players and teams wanted was increased roster size from 15. Almost all of these teams have been playing in myleagues where their rosters have been set at an average of 35 players.

We requested with srstaff that the rosters be increased to 35 to accommodate those teams wanting to make the move. As those of you know that have played on Case's leagues before, ladder ops & staff very seldom get permission to change any rules without the members voting on a rule change. Srstaff disapproved my request to increase roster sizes, but have put the issue in the voting booth. Normally items stay in the booth for 14 days, but they are allowing only 7 days for this rule proposal. I urge all of you to voice your opinion by voting on keeping 15 member rosters or increasing to 35.

As you can see there aren't many rules to try to keep track of. I think the fewer rules the better. As you think of ideas you feel would improve the ladder play, please post those ideas in the forum so all members can voice their views and maybe offer up other ideas.

Let's all try to remember this is a game. I think the majority of us come here to relax and enjoy some time with friends. I realize it is a competitive game for most of us & sometimes we let things get to us. Please try to take a couple seconds before lashing out at someone. And if someone does something to upset you, try not to react to them - that's what they want.

The ladder ops are generic_savant, frosty_knockerz and Im2beary_sweet. They are here to help you. They are also the ones that will handle any complaints submitted. If you don't agree with their decision, you can file an appeal which will be reviewed by myself. If you don't agree with my decision, you are encouraged to go to srstaff.

Looking back, I know I have made several mistakes with the ladder (hindsight is wonderful). This ladder is for the players. Its YOUR league. Its not MY league.

Great job this weekend with the # of games played. Lets keep it up. I would suggest that the times you are unable to get a game in the room & go play elsewhere that you leave your nic in the room so that people will see there are bodies in the room & will come in.
