The following rules have come out of the voting booth and are in effect now:

New rule:

Unmelding:
Unmelding is considered unsportsmanlike and is therefore prohibited on the last hand to insure your team a win.

If a team unmelds on the last hand of a game, to win the team game, they forfeit the win, and must report the loss immediately.

Explanation: Unmelding is defined as a player eliminating the blue line over a meld or reclicking to undo the meld effectively creating deadwood to go out within their partners spread or cushioned points to win the overall team game.

No, Do not add this rule: 8

New rule:

Team Name Prefixes:
A team must have identification characters for their team players of no less than 2 characters which may include numbers, letters, underscores and/or name. These identifying characters and/or name must be the same for each member of the team.

All team members must use this name to play any team game.

No Do not add this rule: 6

Change to existing rule:

Top Ten Activity and Inactivity

Change:
Top 5 teams must play 7 games per week or be dropped out of top 10. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you are in Top 5 and are not playing the same amount of games as you were before getting into the top ten, you will be moved in rungs for rank manipulation.

If a Top 5 team is idle 2.0 days or more, they will be dropped out of top 10. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Yes Change this rule: 21
No Do not change this rule 0

If you are in the Top 10 and have a valid challenge from any other team, you can NOT refuse this challenge and wait on your up. You must accept and play your valid challenge, even if this is rank defending and you have NOT had your shot at the up rank.

Change to existing rule:

Challenges

Change:
Challenges are made and accepted based on a first priority, second priority and final priority.

Top 5 teams must open for the unplayed teams (first game) being first priority.

With second game known as second priority and the third game known as final priority being satisfied only after the First and Second Priority games have been met with any available teams.

Top 5 teams must take games based on the number of games played with that team before rank. If several teams are making challenges which are making their first priority challenge, then the Challenged team must take ranks among the unplayed. Same with multiple challenges from secondary teams, and final games.

Yes Change this rule: 12
No Do not change this rule: 5

The changes have been reflected in the Game Specific Rules on the Rules Page.
