Since im new to teams maybe this has been asked. I was wondering what's with the rankings?

I've seen that our "true rank" is 2 more than the one in loaded on the standings. For example, my team is #5 when I check my team page but when I check the standings page, it will say that we are #3? Is there some reasoning behind this? Thanks.
